The Ripley County Chamber of Commerce Independence Day Celebration was held Saturday, June 29, at the Doniphan High School Ballpark. Pageants, car and motorcycle shows, live music, raffles and a variety of food made for a grand party.

Ripley County Toys 4 Tots kicked off ticket sales for a customized 18-foot Blazer SS boat from Current River Marine Sales including a 60-40 Mercury jet motor and Rivercraft trailer. Tickets are $100 with a limit of 200 being sold. The boat along with several consolation prizes will be given away Sept. 7 during the final night of the Ripley County Fair. All proceeds go to provide a merry Christmas for Ripley County children.
