Inspired by the unsinkable spirit of local volunteers, Saturday night's informal Independence Day celebration in downtown Doniphan drew hundreds to Bike Night at Heritage Park and Pickin' On The Square at the Ripley County Courthouse. Areas around Rocky River Resort filled up quickly at the end of the night for a free fireworks show provided through the generosity of Ritter's Fireworks of Doniphan and the organizing efforts of volunteer Rick Yates. Thanks to all for a grand event and happy 244th birthday USA!
