Alex Harris was selected as the outstanding male citizen for the Doniphan High School Class of 2021. Assisting in presenting the honor were his mother, Amy Harris, and his brother, Nick Harris. Honorees are selected on a vote of the entire DHS faculty. “These students best represent the ideals implied in the name - service and character,” said principal Mike Jones. Criteria also includes an attendance average of 95 percent or better and no disciplinary referrals throughout their high school career.

Richard 'Dick' Brumitt was an educator, coach, businessman and founding father in the establishment of the Three Rivers Community College District that serves Ripley County. Kristina Perren was presented the Paul Ripley Award for vocal music. Mr. Ripley was a longtime R-I band director and administrator who continued to support the music department for many years following his retirement. She also earned the Bill And Orvada Capps Memorial Scholarship.
