It might not have been as big as it once was but many Ripley Countians were happy Saturday morning, Sept. 3, to see the Labor Day Homecoming Parade make a comeback after last year’s cancellation due to COVID-19 guidelines. This year’s sponsor was FCC Behavioral Health. Serving as grand marshals were the Three Rivers Shrine Club from Poplar Bluff. Top entries as decided by a panel of judges were Active Kat Yoga, first place; VFW Post 3485 and Auxiliary, second place, and Preferred Home Health, third place. From fire trucks to pageant queens, football players, cheerleaders, the Doniphan High School Marching Band, classic cars and horses, it all came together on a beautiful late summer morning.
