Babysitting Short Course July 11

There is still time to register for the Babysitting Basics Short Course held on Thursday, July 11. It is sponsored by the Ripley County Health Center and will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ripley County Health Department in Doniphan. Cost will be $5. Students should bring a sack lunch.

Enrollment is open to girls and boys who are at least 10 years old. A maximum of 30 students will be accepted. Minimum enrollment is 10.

Topics to be covered will include: Accident prevention, emergencies, nutrition, advertising for work, understanding the ages and stages of children, techniques of diapering, playtime and caring for babies and toddlers. If possible, please bring a doll or teddy bear to the class.
