I saw some of the flags being hung. Always glad to see the U.S. flags flying. Appreciate those who are serving in the military, those who did serve and those who died serving. On my DC trip we went to Arlington Cemetery. Saw the changing of the guard and saw veterans and their guardian who were on another bus. Robert Dole was there. I did not see him but some did and visited with him. I did get to use the elevator in the Lincoln Memorial and passed the word to some veterans the elevator is working. I like to be helpful. Seems the elevator often is not working. We had a guide who got on the USA Tour Bus and gave some interesting information. We saw the Kennedy graves and the eternal flame. It was a sad place and the many battlefields we visited that trip was sad too. Of course we came on down the Blue Ridge Parkway into North Carolina across Tennessee and home seeing more sights and sites. I’m glad I’m getting to travel and see places I always wanted to see.
