Clinics, Tryouts Announced For Doniphan Youth Football Players, Cheerleaders

Doniphan Youth Football will host tryouts for players and cheerleaders during August in preparation for a new season this fall.

Students entering grades 3-6 from all Ripley County schools are eligible to participate.

Player tryouts are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the playing field near Missouri Forge on County Road 142E-20 (Old 142.)

Players should wear gym clothes and running shoes.

A free two-hour instructional camp for players will be held starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Missouri Forge field.

Cheerleader tryouts are set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Riverfront Park in Doniphan.

A two-day cheer clinic will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. Aug. 17-18 at Riverfront Park.

There is no charge for students to participate in Doniphan Youth Football.
