To The Editor ... Fairdealing Resident Responds To Senate Candidate's Letter to the Editor

Thursday, September 17, 2020

Editor:

In response to the letter to the editor, (The Prospect-News, Sept. 2, 2020.)

Wisely, Ripley County voted no on Medicaid expansion.

Increased taxes didn’t save our hospital. And one of the challenges cited before its doors closed was the high percentage of Medicaid patients being seen there.

Even a “not for profit” must remain solvent, if it is to remain operational.

I pray this region continues to realize all this “free money”, whether for health care or other programs, is not free.

Sincerely,

Mary E. Boudreax
