To The Editor ... Doniphan Resident Gives Update On Braschler's Citizenship Issue

Follow-up letter to the editor concerning Derrick Braschler.

After The Prospect-News published my Letter to the Editor concerning citizenship for Derrick Braschler, Mr. Mike Schoelhamer of Congressman Jason Smith’s Poplar Bluff office reached out to me.

He was thankful for the strong community response about this issue and assured me that Congressman Smith is fighting hard on behalf of Derrick. Due to privacy policies, he could not speak about any specifics but felt the matter should and would be expedited by the USCIS. 

I am very happy for P-N publishing the letter.  I am very proud of the citizens of Ripley County for their strong support of Derrick and I wish to thank our US Representative Jason Smith for personally taking up this fight on behalf of Derrick Braschler.

As I expressed to Mr. Schoelhamer, it is extremely helpful to have a knowledgeable partner in Congressman Smith to navigate the complex bureaucracies of the US Government for a successful outcome in a timely manner.
