Get A Shot And Wear A Mask

Speak Out,

Don’t Understand No COVID-19 Shot And Wearing A Mask

If you won’t get a COVID-19 shot and wear a mask, then YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM! We were all so frightened when the pandemic hit, and thought a shot would take years. We were very fortunate to get shots so quickly. I remember when the polio shot was invented, and can remember waiting in line at the armory to get this. Do you get other shots that prevent measles, diphtheria, whooping cough, small pox, a flu shot, pneumonia shot, tetanus shot, a regular mammogram, etc?

The government has nothing to do with you taking care of yourself by wearing a mask and getting a shot. It is just common sense. You are not only protecting yourself, you are protecting everyone else. If you own a business you are in contact with people who might not have received a shot. Yes, in our county you need two shots. In case you haven’t seen the latest statistics the Delta Variant COVID-19 infection is on the rise and even more deadly. It is rampant in Springfield, Mo. Also Missouri and Arkansas are among the states with the lowest percentage of shot recipients. If you want to get back to a pre-pandemic life style do what is necessary to eradicate this virus. GET A SHOT AND WEAR A MASK.

TO THE HEALTH CENTER: Your office has worked tirelessly but could we have a weekly report in the newspaper on the front page of the percentage of shots received in each area/community of Ripley County? Thanks.
