More Than 100 Spaces Sold For Oct. 2 City-Wide Yard Sale

The Doniphan City-Wide Yard Sale is officially sold out more than 10 days before the big event on Saturday, Oct. 2.

City treasurer Chasity Mathis said Tuesday morning that all 100 yard sale spaces offered by the city at Riverfront Park and on Jefferson Street have been sold. Private space in front of Jen’s Bargains on Jefferson is sold-out as well, she said.

The first city-wide yard sale was held Oct. 5, 2019, with space sold for 58 vendors. Last year’s event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sellers will be allowed to begin setting up at 6 a.m. The sale will be from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Eight food vendors have reserved space at Riverfront Park.

Mathis said Rocky River Resort, next to Riverfront Park, has agreed to open some of their space for the yard sale and as of Tuesday had some spots still available. Contact Rocky River Resort at 573-996-7171 for information.
