Donettes To Host Middle School Basketball Tournament

Eight teams are in the lineup for the Doniphan Donettes Invitational middle school basketball tournament to be played Nov. 1-5 at the DMS gym.

The Doniphan eighth-graders carry a 9-0 record while the seventh-graders are 7-0 entering their Oct. 28 games at home with Neelyville.

All first-round tournament games will be played Monday, Nov. 1. Here’s the pairing for the first day:

•Donettes 8th-graders vs. Twin Rivers, 4 p.m.

•Naylor vs Poplar Bluff 8th-graders, 5:15 p.m.

•Neelyville vs. Poplar Bluff 7th-graders, 6:30 p.m.

•Dexter vs. Doniphan 7th-graders, 7:45 p.m.

Semifinals are set for Tuesday, Nov. 2, in both the consolation and championship bracket.

Fifth-place and seventh-place games will be played Thursday, Nov. 4, starting at 5 p.m. The third-place and championship games are set for Friday, Nov. 5, starting at 5 p.m.
