Ripley County Records Another COVID-Related Death

Ripley County’s 36th death of 2021 with COVID-19 among other underlying conditions has been confirmed.

Coroner Mike Jackson and health center director Tammy Cosgrove made the announcement Dec. 1.

As of Wednesday, 20 new cases of the virus have been confirmed locally this week, bringing the total for the year to 1,297 new cases.

During 2020, Ripley County had 722 COVID-19 cases and 11 confirmed deaths.
