Donettes Hold On To Claim ChrIstmas Classic Championship

Playing for the fourth time in five days, the Doniphan Donettes showed their mettle and held off the Dexter Bearcats 48-44 on Wednesday night to bring home the first-place trophy from the 24th Annual Twin Rivers Lady Royals Christmas Classic. The Donettes (10-1) have now won nine games in a row since a 57-56 loss to Mountain View-Liberty on Nov. 30 in the Lady Dawg Classic. Doniphan returns to action on Jan. 3 with a road trip to Poplar Bluff before returning home Jan. 6 for a rematch with Liberty.
