A Hard Ripley County Winter In 1918

Wednesday, December 29, 2021
This postcard was made during ‘the hard winter of 1918’ and was taken from a point on Washington Street near where the Current River Heritage Museum stands today. More than 100 years later, the winter of 1918 remains one of the coldest on record for Ripley County. The buildings on the far side of the street should be recognizable to residents today.
