Requirements Should Not Cause Hardship

Speak Out:

It recently came to my attention that graduates have particular requirements for clothing to be worn under their cap and gowns to be worn at graduation. I thought they were outlandish. What’s wrong with simply telling graduates to dress neat and let it go at that. Ripley County has a lot of very poor people. I see no reason to put requirements on graduates that cause a hardship for the student or their family. I wish the school, school board or whoever mandated these requirements to give them more thought and drop them.
