Enter The Prospect-News' Annual Easter Coloring Contest

Wednesday, March 22, 2023

Thanks to the great sponsorship from area merchants, an “eggciting” Easter activity is now under way. It is time once again for the annual Easter coloring contest. From bunnies, crosses and eggs to flowers, local youngsters will be given the opportunity to show just how artistic they really can be.

Each sponsor will give a prize to one child in each of three age categories: 4-5, 6-7, and 8-9. Each participant must do his/her own artwork, using almost any medium or combination for the entries: crayons, colored pencils, markers and watercolors are all acceptable.

Entries must be cut out of the newspaper and delivered to the sponsoring business, unless otherwise instructed, before 3 p.m. on Monday, April 3. Judging will take place that week and winners will be notified. All winners will be required to stop by The Prospect-News office to pick up a card to take to the business location in order to claim their prize. You must have the card to get the prize.

The following businesses make this activity possible by their sponsorship: People’s Community Bank, Watkins Insurance Agency, Jamison’s Super Saver, Fearfully & Wonderfully Made, Snips Salon, United Country American Realty, Doniphan-Ripley County Library, Ruby’s Antiques And More, Krave Desserts and More, Virginia Rose Threads, Lemonade House Grille, Virginia Rose Timeless Designs, MiCasa Mexican Restaurant and The Prospect-News.
