A Little Too Much Excitement

Wednesday, October 16, 2019

I know we all need a little excitement in our lives but I draw a line when it comes to the excitement I got today. My cousin Linda and her husband Bill of St. Louis, Mo. and my cousin Pam Bridges of Doniphan came over. Bill is a super sweet guy, he and Linda fixed my front steps for me. They were getting very weak and now I don’t have to worry about them falling in with me on them. I am very blessed with wonderful family and friends that watch out for me and take care of me. They all had just left and I was getting ready to walk into the kitchen. There to my surprise was a 6 ft. black snake. All I have to say it is a good thing my mother was not alive to see it. Not sure how it got into my house, regardless, I really didn’t want to share the kitchen with him. I looked around and found a pair of prongs, stepped on his backend by his tail and picked up the snake, threw him off the back porch. I also told him if he comes back no second chances. He will then become a very dead black snake. On top of that my dog acted like he was part of the family and had nothing to do with him. Good thing I am a country girl and don’t get too wild about animals.
