News From Out West

In 1987, my parents, Corinne and Prientus Hastings, purchased what then was called Frye’s Grocery. The owners then were Betty and Paul Frye. It was a sad note to hear of the passing of Betty Frye. To Paul and their children I send my love and my prayers. Betty and Paul had lived with Brad Frye, their son for a little while. The road ahead is paved with all our prayers and that we remember them with great love and peace. Also, passing this past week was Roy Camden. If you had ever been to the food pantry you would have seen Roy and his wife Marge working hard to help the community. To Marge and their children, Roy was a very sweet man and he will be greatly missed by so many. Prayers and love to all during this time of loss. A young sweet girl Shelly Stark Rupp, my prayers for your husband and children, your parents Pam and Bob Stark and family. Shelly always seemed to have a smile on her face and was such a sweet, kind person to those around her. To all of these families and their friends, may the Lord give you the strength to get you through the days ahead and love from all of us in the community.
