Firefighters To Host Fun Night For Kids July 4 At Rocky River

Youngsters are invited to have some fun with Ripley County's volunteer firefighters Saturday, July 4, starting around 4:30 p.m. at Rocky River Resort in Doniphan.

Family fun, live music and fireworks are on the agenda for Saturday, July 4, at the Ripley County Courthouse and Rocky River Resort.

Kids are invited to have some fun with Ripley County’s volunteer fire departments Saturday evening at Rocky River Resort in Doniphan.

Starting around 4:30 p.m., fire trucks and personnel from all VFDs will be on hand at the Rocky River pavillion. Children are invited to meet the firefighters, climb on the trucks and maybe even experience some cool water fun with the firefighters.

Also beginning at 5 will be Pickin’ On The Square at the courthouse. This week’s lineup of performers includes Borderline, Firelight, Bob and Barb Lewis, and Bill Yates.

Music is set to continue until 9 p.m. when a fireworks show is planned at the Rocky River campground.
