'Meet The Candidates' Forums Planned At Naylor And Doniphan

Ripley County voters are invited to attend ‘Meet The Candidates’ events to be held Saturday, July 18, at Naylor and Monday, July 20, at Doniphan.

The Naylor Senior Center on Broad Street invites local candidates to speak at 2 p.m. Saturday. Those attending are asked to bring a dessert to share and/or be auctioned to benefit the center.

The Ripley County Chamber of Commerce will host a question-and-answer session with the candidates at 6 p.m. Monday at the Community Partnership Building on West Highway Street.

Some precautions will be in place due to COVID-19 guidelines. Touchless temperature checks will be taken at the door. Masks are welcomed but not mandatory. Children under 16 years are asked not to attend.

Plans are being made with Current River Broadcasting to live stream the event.
