Health Officials Confirm Sixth Death In Ripley County

Ripley County coroner Mike Jackson and health center director Jan Morrow announced Tuesday one new confirmed death of a Ripley County resident who suffered from COVID-19 among other underlying conditions.

So far in 2021, the county has seen 241 new cases of COVID-19. Six deaths have now occurred.

During 2020, our county had 722 COVID-19 cases and 11 confirmed deaths.

“Our community is reminded that everyone has a responsibility to help keep people around them safe. Please stay home if you experience any symptoms. Contact your healthcare provider as needed,” said Morrow.
