Officials Announce Another COVID-19 Connected Death In Ripley County

Ripley County coroner Mike Jackson and health center director Jan Morrow announced Wednesday the seventh death of a Ripley County resident with underlying conditions connected to the COVID-19 virus.

“Total 2021 deaths for our county are now seven,” the officials announced. “Total deaths for 2020 were 11.”

The health center confirmed 11 more positives cases on Friday bringing the total positive cases to 262 in Ripley County since Jan 1.

Health officials remind all county residents that if you suspect that you have COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, call your healthcare provider to let themknow before seeking care.

It is critical that your provider is aware that you may have COVID-19 prior to your arrival at a healthcare facility and that you follow all instructions for arriving at a healthcare facility.
