Once a Ranger, always a Ranger. That's what they say at Lone Star R-IV School. This year graduation was a little different due to the COVID-19 pandemic that brought the school year to an unexpected end March 17. But as they collected their awards and diplomas June 14, the school year seemed a success.

Shelbie Johnson was named valedictorian for the Lone Star Eighth-Grade Class of 2020 and also won the Girls Citizenship Award on a vote of the entire staff. She is pictured with her father, Charlie Johnson.

Braden Hinton was the winner of the prestigious Boys Citizenship Award at Lone Star. He is pictured with his parents, Chad and Shalene Haywood.

Hannah King was named salutatorian for the Lone Star Eighth-Grade Class Of 2020.
