Dave Shifflett of Doniphan shows his recently-purchased dream truck. The half-ton truck is a 1948 Ford F-1, the first in the legendary F series. Shifflett said he learned to drive in a truck just like it. It was acquired in California around 24 hours prior to Shifflett finding out about the Heritage Days car show. He said the truck is referred to as a bonus built, meaning the cab was slightly enlarged from prior years.
