A Sad Time For

Our Great Nation

Speak Out,

It is a sad time for our country at this time. Our president is so corrupt, that he has been impeached not once, but twice.

I find it ironic now, that in October 2020, republicans were saying they had an army of about 650,000, to combat the riots by democrats when Trump wins.

I guess they still have their army, but, THEY are the rioters. They are the ones wanting to overturn a legal fraud free election.

Even though Joe Biden won by almost 8 million popular vote, and about 40 electoral vote. The republicans still say that Donald Trump won the election by a LANDSLIDE.

Sad time for our great nation that was once looked upon as a nation for our democratic ways.

How Dumb Do You

Think We Are?

Speak Out,

Yes, I am a resident of Doniphan and I seen on the front page of your newspaper that the mob or the riot was “empowering and peaceful” and everybody with their own two eyes seen it on TV. Media had nothing to do with it. How dumb do you think we are to put that on the front page of the newspaper? Thank you.

It’s A Shame

Dear Speak Out,

The longer I sat and thought about your front-page article by Miss Brady the angrier I got. Obviously, she’s bigoted towards President Trump and the lies that Fox News and OAN and so on had been spreading. The election was not stolen. It has been verified, checked, rechecked and the facts have been checked. If she had bothered check her facts she would have found out that Trump did invite those rebels into the Capitol and he did encourage them along with Donnie Junior and Rudy Giuliani to cause sedition, insurrection and attack. A terrorist attack on our own country’s capitol. An attack on democracy is an attack on all of us. It is too bad that you didn’t bother to have your facts checked and checked again because she attacked you as well. She attacked your integrity as journalists. The facts are there. All those people who attacked our capitol are terrorists. It’s a shame you sided with her and let those statements go into our paper and sided with the terrorists. That makes your rag a terrorist rag. Thank you.

Editor’s Note: After seeing her posts on social media, we asked Ms. Brady to share her experience at the Capitol on Jan. 6 because it’s not often that someone from Ripley County attends an event in Washington, D.C. While we all know there was violence that day, where she and her family were located, there was none, according to Ms. Brady. We always welcome feedback.
